Call for Abstracts

The New Zealand Association for Gifted Children (NZAGC) is pleased to advise the Call for Abstracts for the NZAGC 41st Conference is now open.

The 2016 conference is being held at St Andrew’s College, Christchurch from 9th to 1th September and we invite you to contribute to the conference. The theme of the conference is resilience. We are looking for presentations and workshops aimed at parents and teachers which consider resilience in social, emotional and educational contexts.

Please submit the abstract of your presentation for consideration. We value your input and encourage you to share your knowledge. The closing date for abstract submissions is Friday 13th May 2016 at 5pm.

Abstract Guidelines

The conference theme is resilience. In your abstract please explain how your presentation relates to the theme. Conference delegates will assess their workshop and lecture choices based on how well you describe your main idea and what they can expect to get out of the presentation e.g. resources or new evidence to improve practice.

  • Please keep to a 150 word maximum word count for each abstract and keep your title brief.
  • Provide your full first and last names and preferred title such as Ms, Dr, Associate Professor.
  • Please provide a short biography and photograph for use in the conference programme.

To help with our organisation, following your abstract, please state your equipment requirements e.g. data projector, audio or whiteboard.

You will receive confirmation by email when your abstract has been received.

The review period takes approximately four weeks and will be completed by early June 2016. You will receive notification of whether your abstract has been accepted or not from the conference organisers. Thank you for your willingness to contribute and share your knowledge.
