Chantelle Gerrard is currently the Head of Wardrobe for the Pop-up Globe, and has been since their inception in 2015. She is designer for the upcoming Winter Season’s ‘The Roaring Girl’ and was designer for their 2018 season of Measure for Measure, and has had critical acclaim for her designs for their past shows Much Ado about nothing, Romeo and Juliet, Othello, Merchant of Venice and Macbeth.
Chantelle has been Wardrobe Supervisor for many productions in Auckland, and has overseen every production for the Pop-Up Globe since 2015 as well as recently supervising Billy Elliot’ for Auckland Theatre company and ‘Orpheus’ for The New Zealand Dance Company.
Her career in costume spans 20 years and has included designing ‘Mary Stuart’ in London, making costumes for ‘Game of Thrones’, constructing space suits for ‘The Martian’, designing the feature film ‘Insatiable Moon’, as well as Design and construction for Tim Bray Productions (Theatre for Children) 2006-2014.
Wardrobe at the Pop-Up Globe experience:
Come see where the magic happens. This will be a very special chance to come and see the wardrobe department on site at the Pop-Up Globe, and I will personally take you through the processes and costumes that we use to make the shows come alive. The Kids (and adults) will also be able to dress up in past costumes and armour.

Session will be 2-4pm please be there 1:45pm to ensure we are all there im good time!
Cost: $5 per person – Explorers members only. To allow as many children as possible only one adult per group please – this experience is strictly limited to 40 people and adults are included in that number.
