Tall Poppies is a quality magazine aimed at gifted children and their families, professionals in the field of gifted education, and the general public. It is published three times a year and posted to all NZAGC members (including overseas members) as part of their subscription.

Contributions to the magazine are welcome, including letters to the editor, children’s work and articles by professionals and parents. All contributions are reviewed by the editorial team prior to publication. NZAGC branches are encouraged to submit reports and photographs of their activities.

All contributions are best sent electronically, otherwise as typed copy, and should ideally be between 1,000 to 3,000 words. Drawings should be submitted as a clear scanned copy or done in black ink on white paper.

Advertising in Tall Poppies or on this website is very welcome where content will be of direct interest to readers. Priority will be given to advertisements deemed to be of most relevance to the gifted education field. All queries to

• Advertisements will only be included on receipt of payment.
• Advertisers who supply their own text and graphics are responsible for ensuring that it is compatible with the DTP computer system. Adverts can be produced from supplied copy at an extra cost. The Tall Poppies team can help you with this.
