discussion with school - Gifted programm at school

My daughter has recently been identified as gifted child with high IQ. I have talked to school that we would like she receives an education appropriate to her abilities and needs and to access learning at the best level suited to her. We would like she attends "Gifted programme" at her school.
but it looks like the school didn't concern about it.

Any parents have such similar experience to work out with school? Any suggestion? How to work out with the person who in charge of the Gifted Programme at school?

Any parents have such similar experience to talk to Gifted coordinator at school?

Hi Cindy,

At some schools the "gifted" coordinator is the same as the RTLB, or resource teacher for learning and behaviour. The senior school management and your child's teacher are best to involve actively in this process as well.

Ask about an "individual education plan" for your child if your child's educational needs are not met by the regular plan. How is your child being assessed? Extended? what's next for your child?

Good luck.
