Hi,
This is my first time posting. I've found the forum so very helpful, particularly following the recent thread of computer use. We have two sons, one is 9 years of age and highly gifted. The other is 6 years of age and has a severe intellectual disability, autism and epilepsy. He is completely non-verbal, has very high needs and attends a special needs school.
I would very much like to find an online forum that focuses on the needs of children with intellectual disabilities and/ or autism. I feel so stretched and stressed dealing with the vastly divergent needs of our children that I’ve not had time to do more than a superficial search for such a forum. I’ve found several overseas forums but would particularly like to be part of one here in NZ.
Can anyone point me in the right direction please?
