I have noticed that a lot of parents seem to find that their children do better in a small caring environment. Is it really the smallness that counts?

There is no national organisation that I know of in New Zealand. Just the mailing group for like minded people. It would be great to get more people signed up to the group who were keen to preserve the special characteristics of small schools.
