I just came across a new (New Zealand) building set that has wooden mini-planks you can build all sorts of things with. Like the concept of traditional building blocks but planks instead. I thought it looked really interesting. Very open-ended. My daughter is crazy for any sort of construction or building sets. This isn't a paid endorsement LOL- just thought it was good to see a local quality toy like this too instead of lots of imported plastic junk. Their website is mybuilda.com.
