DD (3 1/4) has just finished playing the "Reader Rabbit Reading, ages 6-9" with pretty much no help. The only trouble she had were a couple of words that she didn't know the definition of, so she couldn't put them into the sentence as required.
She really enjoyed playing it, and was scary to watch as she didn't even think before she would click the right words.
Does anyone have any similar games they can recommend?
On another note, I brought her a book the other day and on the back it said RL 2.1 and I think I remember reading somewhere that the 2.1 stands for grade 2, 1st month. Can anyone tell me if this is correct? It seemed to fit as the reading age on the back was 6-8. Quite good as it was a Clifford book so still interesting for her, and she is happy to read it by herself.
Hi
My nearly five year old also enjoys Reader Rabbit 6-9, although her reading is not that far advanced. She enjoys the maths version of that even more. I have recently got her the I love Science, I love Spelling, I love Maths series from DK. She just loves the I love Science, although she does not quite cope with the reading, so I have to sit with her and read it for her. I must say, I can understand why both my kids enjoy this one!!
My daughter was a Reader Rabbit fan too around that age and also loved the Freddi Fish and Putt Putt CDs. We bought them second hand on trademe to save some $$
