Hi there, I've just found this site and I'm hoping someone can help me...
We are looking to get our 6yr old daughter tested in the hopes that it can help us better decide what to do with her at school.
We have been recommended Justine Wilson, and I was wondering if anyone has had their child tested through her? What is she like? Would you recommend her? Is there anyone else in Chch who does testing that you would recommend?
Gosh, this is all so confusing! It's a lot of money to spend, and if we decide to go ahead with it, I want to get it right.
Don't know Justine, but Rose Blackett is highly regarded as an ed psych with a great deal of experience with gifted kids - she's also a mother of gifted kids and an ex-ODS teacher, so has insight into gifted children from a range of different perspectives. Justine is absolutely fantastic! I used her for all 3 of mine, and for things other than giftedness when we needed her. Miss 10 had some behavioural issues, Justine is briiliant and awesome with all ages.

Has anyone got contact details for Justine - we contacted Rose about a month ago about getting our youngest assessed and was told $595 and that there is a year waiting list.
We had our son assessed by Justine when she worked in Akld, prior to moving down to ChCh. She was very helpful and had a lovely rapport with my Aspergers/Dyspraxic/Gifted son.

We have decided to go with Justine. We have met with her, and she is lovely, and sounds like she knows what she is talking about.
Karen, she also mentioned that she often works with children further down the line (after testing) for all sorts of issues that they may have (social, behavioural, etc). Could be helpful in the future.
Jane, Justine charges about the same as Rose, but we've managed to get an appt within a couple of weeks. We want to get this sorted out asap, so didn't want to have to wait up to 12 months to see Rose.
