My son has just been tested and is gifted (although we already new that). He is first year intermediate at present at Shirley (they are great!) but now I need to look at secondary schools for him. He may be able to get a scholarship next year, so wanting to know about private as well. He is about to be tested also for Aspergers, apparently he has a high probability of this too, so the school needs to have great resources for this also. Does anyone have any suggestions at the best schools for me to start looking at? I don't really know where to start except that I don't think Shirley Boys will be any good for him as they were not helpful at all for my older boy who was also bright and got bored easily. Travel will be inevitable. Thank you in advance for any advice.
Hi what secondary school would take a Down Syndrome child and have then mainstreamed, and supported with Teacher Aides - pretty sure this child may need full support.
