SENSATIONAL SATURDAY!

A fun filled day full of problem solving, creative and physical challenges

January 28th 10 am – 3 pm

Challenge 1:

Build a bridge across a creek from found items that would allow a person in a wheel chair to cross the creek safely.

Challenge 2:

Collaboratively devise a marching chant and take part in chanting while hiking to the next destination.

Challenge 3:

Find an all-weather shelter in the bush made from natural resources. Examine it in detail and discuss how it may have been constructed.

Challenge 4:

Gather natural resources and work together to make an all-weather shelter similar to the one found.

Challenge 5:

Celebrate success by taking part in a hilarious dance/drumming game inside the shelter… then enjoy a shared lunch.

Challenge 6:

Compete in a limbo competition, accompanied by the Lali (Fijian drum)

Challenge 7:

Play spin stick, guaranteed to make everyone wobble and laugh!

Challenge 8:

Take part in a Natural World Treasure Hunt, Silly Relays and the Don’t Laugh Game. Winning team members get a Precious Pinecone; all others win a Perseverer’s Pinecone J

Sliding Scale of Fees

Employed Parents $50 for one child

Bring one friend/sibling $45 each

Bring 2+ friends/siblings $40 each

Unemployed Parents $20 or bartering equivalent (i.e. veges from your garden)

Start/end Avondale, Auckland.

Day run by a qualified teacher and a survival expert, both very experienced in entertaining and educating children.
