The GIFTED SEMINARS initiative, first launched in late 2009 by Elaine le Sueur and Jean Hendy-Harris as UNI-ON-WHEELS will be holding a New Workshops Trial Day on Tuesday 18th October at Selwyn College in Auckland. Students who are currently 9 to 12 years old are invited to apply.
For many years the Holiday Seminars Charitable Trust provided school holiday courses for gifted students in Auckland and following many requests these have been extended into schools during term time. This year Gifted Seminars teams have taken extension courses into classrooms throughout Auckland and to various areas in the North Island.
The workshop themes planned for 18th October will feature areas of focus to be included in our 2012 courses for schools such as Maths, Physics, Creative Thinking, The Arts, Debate and Philosophical Discussion. The cost is $69. See details at www.giftedseminars.org and www.holidayseminars.co.nz
