I would recommend Pascale Parenteau, she is wonderful with kids, teenagers and adults - could teach anyone. She was the co-ordinator of the Youth Orchestra, plays in the Vector Orchestra, Wellington, and her husband is in the NZ Symphony Orchestra as a violinist. She taught my daughter and I would highly recommend her.
Another teacher i would highly recommend is Lynley Culliford (Johnsonville). I am a violin teacher myself and was very fussy about who taught my 3yr old daughter : )
I would also recommend you go and observe some lessons - you will soon get a feel for the type of teacher they are and whether they will suit your child.
Good luck.
Depending on where you are in Wellington, my 5yr old goes to Anne White in Waikanae, she is fantastic I would highly recommend her. Very gentle approach and manner.
I was taught a few years ago by Aneela Pancha in Karori. She is also very good but not sure if she is still in Wellington.
The Music Learning Centre in Tawa is fantastic. My children learn piano from Craig Utting and his wife Liz teaches violin. They have 6
talented musical children of their own!
Do you know any teachers in Hataitai area? I'm interested in learning the violin after giving up years ago! Or anyone in town that teach over weekends because I work full time :) thanks!
