Gifted Education Centre and One Day School. for gifted children aged 6 - 12: a wide-ranging programme that cares for all aspects of the gifted child's development on an ongoing basis.
Gifted Kids . A day a week programme in gifted education
Small Poppies. Small Poppies is a teacher-assisted group for gifted/talented two to six year olds in the Auckland region administered and operated by the Gifted Education Centre. Different sessions at various times & locations are offered. Sessions are based on maths, language and science. Children generally attend one 2.5 hour session per week with their caregiver during school terms.

School Holiday Courses-A range of school holiday workshops where computer learning is combined with lateral thinking problem solving activities for children aged from 5 to 18 years. After-school Extension Workshops-After-school extension workshops, or “Thinkers Clubs” run twelve different locations across Auckland. These workshops are very hands-on and have a science and technology focus. Each week there is a science experiment, following which students take the knowledge they have gained to make their own models and inventions. Unusual briefs are given in order to encourage students to “think outside the square” and develop their lateral thinking skills. The workshops are designed for children aged 6 to 13 years

Postgraduate Diploma in Specialist Teaching (Gifted and Talented)-Massey University
The Year One specialist paper explores personal, cultural and theoretical perspectives of giftedness and talent; the related characteristics and behaviours; identification; and special populations amongst the gifted. The Year Two specialist paper examines evidence-based practices for meeting the needs of gifted and talented learners across a continuum of approaches, followed by a practicum experience working in the field.
Entry to the programme requires a relevant professional qualification and a New Zealand undergraduate degree or equivalent.
This is a part-time distance qualification which includes face-to-face block courses and online course work.
REACH Education Consultancy
An agency created specifically to support schools in working successfully with gifted learners. Drawing on international research and 30 years of experience in this field, REACH puts its focus on providing schools with sound practical strategies - strategies that are effective and interesting for both learners and teachers!
UK National Association for Gifted Children website - NAGC is a national charity covering England, Wales and Northern Ireland whose long term objective is to ensure that appropriate provision is made for children to develop their gifts and talents to the maximum (sound familiar?) -
