Library Information

Explorers has a collection of books, games, videos, tapes, CD-ROMs and puzzles for members to borrow prior to a clubday activity or during afternoon tea. We are always happy to have volunteers to help to check out books on clubdays.

There is also a National library, held in Milford, North Shore, from which you can borrow (see NZAGC Library.)

BORROWING FROM THE LIBRARY

Generally you can borrow 1-2 items per child, for 1 month, due on the clubday closest to that date.
  1. Take out the card in the box or the back of the book. Generally books have white cards and games cards are blue.
  2. Check items, games in particular, for damage or missing pieces and make a note of this on the card and inform the person on duty.
  3. Write your name, your phone number and the date you borrow the item.
  4. Give the card to the person on library duty or if unattended put the card in the box with the items that are out on loan.
  5. Put all your returns into the box provided or give to the person on library duty.
Magazines and catalogues can be borrowed. If they do not have a card, please put details in the blue book. All other conditions apply.
